Vessels of Home
Is a reliquary of ritual remnants, heirlooms, and queer myth-making; a quiet shop of handmade objects. You will find ceramics, knitting patterns, photographs and digital offerings rooted in ritual, care and everyday magic.
The project began as an art installation and research paper, exploring ritual, belonging, and the stories mythical objects carry. Over time, it has evolved into something even slower and more grounded: a shop, but also a space for making meaning in the everyday. A way for crafted ritual objects to be gently in daily life, moving from my hands to yours.
Each object in the shop is made with intention. Ceramics are formed by hand from unique clay bodies, glazed in wondrous tones and fired locally. The elements Earth, Water, Air and Fire come together to shape them, guided by my hands.
Knitting patterns are designed as adaptable templates. They are made-to-measure, wearable for anybody and rhythmic to make. Inclusive in the most simple sense: you will find no sizes here.
This is a space for slowness and function, for beauty you can hold. A way of tending to life through repetition, attention, and care.
A vessel can be a cup, a body, a place to return to, a home.
Thank you for visiting.
Love,
Rowan
