About Vessels of Home

What is Vessels of Home?

Vessels of Home is a shop of handmade objects: ceramics, knitting patterns, photographic works, and digital offerings. I make each piece slowly and with intention. designed to be lived with, used, and cherished.

What does Vessels of Home stand for?

This shop is grounded in slowness, sustainability, and softness. I created it as an alternative to burnout and over-performance. It is a space where craft becomes ritual, and beauty becomes part of everyday life. A vessel can be a cup, a body, a breath, or a place to return to. This space is one of them.

Orders

How do orders work?

Once you place your order, you’ll receive an email confirmation. If it’s a physical item, I’ll pack and ship it from my studio in the Netherlands. If it’s a digital product, you’ll receive your files by email right away.

How do I know if my order was successful?

You’ll see a confirmation screen after checkout and receive an email with your order details. If you don’t receive it within a few minutes, check your spam folder or email me at vesselsofhome@gmail.com.

How do digital downloads work?

Digital downloads (e.g. knitting patterns) are sent automatically after checkout. You’ll receive a link by email to download your files. If there’s ever an issue, just reach out.

How does made-to-order work?

Made-to-order means I’ll make your item after you place your order. This allows me to avoid waste. Estimated production times are always listed on the product page.

How does pre-order work?

Pre-ordering means you’re reserving a piece before it’s ready to ship out. This helps me plan small batches and keep the shop sustainable. After the order is placed the items are shipped within the allocated time frame, which is listed on the shipping tab of the product page.

There is a problem with the order I received.

Please email me at vesselsofhome@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a description of the issue. I’ll do my best to make it right.

I received the wrong item. What can I do?

If a mistake has been made, please get in touch with vesselsofhome@gmail.com and I will help you within 3 working days.

My order arrived damaged. What can I do?

If your item(s) has arrived damaged, please contact me at vesselsofhome@gmail.com with a brief explanation of the damage as well as attached images of the pieces, clearly showing the damaged areas. Many ceramic pieces are one-of-a-kind, but I’ll always find a caring solution.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If your item hasn’t shipped yet, I may be able to change or cancel your order. Please email me at vesselsofhome@gmail.com as soon as possible with your order number. Once an item has shipped, changes are no longer possible. Please note that digital downloads can not be canceled or changed.

Shipping & Return

How does shipping work?

I ship from the Netherlands using tracked services. You’ll receive a shipping notification and tracking link once your item is on the way.

Where is my order?

If your order has not arrived when you were expecting, and you have checked your tracking details, which have not given you any further updates, please email vesselsofhome@gmail.com with your order number so that I can help you.

How do returns work?

I accept returns on select items. Please contact me within 14 days of delivery to request a return. Items must be unused and returned in their original condition.

Which items are not returnable?

  • Digital downloads
  • Custom or made-to-order pieces
  • One-of-a-kind ceramics (unless damaged in transit)
  • Items marked final sale (e.g. studio sale)

Please read each listing carefully before purchasing.

Will I receive a return label?

Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item was damaged or incorrect. Please use a tracked service and keep proof of postage. If I’ve made a mistake, I’ll cover the return shipping.

Products

I need specific sizing information. How can I get it?

Knitting patterns are made-to-measure, so you’ll use your own body measurements to create a custom fit. Each pattern includes precise guidance on how to do this. For ceramics and artworks, measurements are listed on the product page.

Will you restock sold out pieces?

Some items are one-of-a-kind and won’t be restocked. Others may return in future updates or can be requested as custom pieces. Please contact me if you are looking for something specific from the Archive.

Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and other regional options offered through Shopify’s secure checkout. Prices are listed in EUR (€), and Shopify automatically converts currency based on your location.

What about taxes?

For international shipments (outside the European Union) packages are shipped with DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) labels. Customs duties and taxes vary from country to country. If there are any, these will be paid by the customer when the package arrives at customs in their country.

For shipments inside the European Union taxes are included.
